Thanks, love ya!

Awesome. This is how people SHOULD act. It’s almost too nice to be real.

a little pot never hurt anyone.

at #2. What an immature brat

To #2 : Pot has been known to cause a decrease in the size of fetuses heads if the mother smokes pot regularly, causing developmental problems.
Im sure that the second hand effect cannot be much better. Although, im sure it still doesnt happen on a regular basis, id still be a tad annoyed.

At #1. Yes that is how people should act ( taking others into consideration) but then there’s assholes with no respect towards anyone not even themselves like #2 that make it a lot harder on people to be nice and show compassion . #2 just goes to prove that what the people did by leaving the note is just that much more honorable. Its hard to show compassion towards people only to have them spit in your face. props to the note leavers.

at #3. Well it’s true

Nobody has a right to expose others to psychoactives against their will, and it’s very cool how nice these people were. I wonder, thought, what’s with the “pregnant wife” label? Is this an insinuation that pot smoke is particularly risky to pregnant people? Research pretty flatly shows this to be untrue, and in fact cannabis is a very effective medicine for a number of pregnancy-related ailments.
Again, the bottom-most line is that people have a right to choose not to be exposed.

Haha! funny way to handle a fairly minor problem. Clever and Im sure the pot heads got a kick out of it. Congrats on your wife I hope your neighbors got the message.

@Justin… Obviously you haven’t had a pregnant wife… Studies or no studies, what she says goes… and only a fool or a masochist would try and do otherwise.

>>what’s with the “pregnant wife” label?
Pregnant women often have reactions to sights, tastes, but especially smells, that might not bother them at all when they’re not pregnant. it’s like the opposite of cravings. Some can’t go near fried food, or boiled eggs, for example, without immediately throwing up.
Potential harm from second hand smoke aside, the pregnant woman might be gagging and choking on the smell. Nobody wants to feel like barfing all the time.
Maybe she didn’t care if she smelled smoke when she wasn’t pregnant, but if it’s something that makes her feel sick now, it would be courteous not to expose her to it.

pot smoke gives me a headache, so yeah it “does hurt” heh =)

It is funny how ignorant people are about pot. It has many, many more good benefits than bad, even to the point it can be taxed..

it’s funny how everyone here is going to die and it doesn’t matter what you argue about. no one wins, no one is classier or more noble than any other. You all die. Death has the last laugh. let’s see some witty and conscientious writing save you from that!

That is awesome. He obviously wasn’t pissed off enough to go knock on their door, but the drawing shows a lot of pent up anger

@17. Wow, that is funny! LOL!

Actually, there are some real health concerns around second hand pot smoke and fetus development. Obviously the right thing to mention to your pot smoking neighbors when you have a pregnant wife.
#22 by radtastic at April 20th, 2010
@ #2:
Maybe pregnant ladies don’t want the smell of pot smoke in their apartment. Ever seen a pregnant chick throw up in response to certain smells? It’s not pretty. And it would be considerate to make sure the pot smoke didn’t leak out of you apartment. Safer, too, in the event that any cops were anywhere around.

Have you ever read a letter like this…… on weed?
#24 by Gregory M. Figg at May 7th, 2010
its good when your neighbors try to give the benefit of the doubt i had a similar problem but it was broken 40 oz bottles in my yard from a frat party next door and i was lookin out for my puppy
#25 by mooster at May 7th, 2010
I agree that people should be considerate, but I’m also a little surprised nobody has suggested that the person worried about his pregnant wife should probably start by putting a towel under HIS door rather than count on the neighbors to show regard. Also, maybe his mentioning to them how the smoke escapes beyond their apartment is meant somewhat as a heads up in case apartment management or others in authority might catch a whiff (assuming it’s illegal where they are).
#26 by ivy at May 8th, 2010
why doesn’t he just put a towel under his door? the apparently have horrible insulation.
#27 by Pete at May 10th, 2010
It’s funny how self righteous a lot of pot smokers are – and how easily offended many are at the very idea others might not see the stuff as the very elixir of life; it not being enough for them that others merely tolerate their habit.
The note was very good natured: the smokers are lucky to have such nice neighbours. They should be grateful no one called the police.
#28 by Atticus at May 11th, 2010
@26
It’s not normal to have horrible insulation…but on meth it is.
#29 by Vetter at May 12th, 2010
There’s this antiquated term, called, ‘dropping a Dime’. It was done to have someone else do your dirty work for you.
If you want to protect your unborn child, man up an do the right thing. If your child is born with the slightest problem, your wife will always hold you responsible and rightly so.
#30 by Bildo at May 12th, 2010
Nice method of handling the situation, defuse with humor a little.
The amount of second hand pot smoke it takes to be psychoactive would be tremendous. The wife would have to be laying in the hallway huffing under their door crack to do any damage to the baby.
The potheads SHOULD be proactive and limit their smoke they share. The towel under the door trick also works for the neighbor….
It’s all about not being a pain in the ass to those around you, no matter which side of the coin you land on.
No matter the road you walk, you will have “potholes” and cracks and rocks to be wary of. Tolerance is the route of the wise.

Grew up around pot my entire life, never smoked it. however forcebly exposing people to it, even if by accident is rude, regardless of the amazing qualities marijuana can have. there is use and then there is abuse (abnormal use), then there is just plain stupidity. Drawing a picture is just as immature as the smokers themselfs, next time grow a pair and just confront them face to face. or maybe the second hand smoke is getting to you enough to draw a crappy picture? lol whatever the case may be.. to pot smokers: be considerate and less rude and uneducated morons might be more considerate themselfs and get off your back about what you do either medicinally or even recreationally and to the haters: back off, seriously. I am a pregnant person and smells do get to me especially that of pot, but you know what, i take matters into my own hands by placing a towel under my door.
